Lab Technician

I completed my MSc. from the department of Plant Agriculture, University of Guelph in 2012 where my research focused on the inheritance and quantitative trait loci analysis of folate content in dry beans. I joined GRIPP in 2014 as a lab technician and have been executing various molecular techniques and methods such as RNA/DNA extraction, PCR/qRT-PCR analysis as it pertains to studying the host-pathogen relationship in American elm and the fungal agent(s) responsible for Dutch elm disease, apple propagation, and cold stress in Arabidopsis thaliana. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.
